Our Story

 

In January of 2012, Nick and Debbie Ursino decided to embark on a new adventure together, and finally open the restaurant they always dreamed of. They knew that they had the most important thing covered; Nick’s culinary prowess was undeniable and his years of experience in the industry served as a solid foundation to build their dream on. The rest was just details.

After months of hard work, and the incredible contributions of family and friends, Tiramisu opened its doors to the public in September of 2012. From the hand-built bar by Debbie’s brother Jim Dietsch with the custom drink menu developed by their son Marco, to the welcoming atmosphere and enticing menu, Tiramisu became a dream realized and offers a new level of cuisine to the well-established Waterbury culinary landscape.

About the Chef

Nick Ursino, Chef and Owner, has over 30 years of experience producing delicious Italian food. After moving to Connecticut from Reggio Calabria, Italy, Nick was the driving culinary force behind several successful restaurants in Waterbury. Nick and his wife Debbie, along with their son Marco run the day-to-day operations of Tiramisu, where they offer celebrated classic Italian dishes highlighted by Nick’s innovative and homemade flavors.
